China:
Philips, since 2012, has been acquired by TP Vision, a Chinese Company. TP Vision is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TPV Technology, the world’s leading monitor maker with a 35 percent market share.
Since 2012, all Philips TV are assembled and manufactured by TP Vision using its factories worldwide. Around seven factories of TPV are situated in China, which is used to manufacture Philips TVs.
TPV Technology continues to manufacture TVs to be sold under the brand name Philips and now fully owns TP Vision, the company that manufactures Philips.
Brazil:
In Brazil, TPV has been present since 1997. The company works in Brazil as Envision Industry of Electronic Products.
After the consolidation of Philips in TP Vision, all Philips TVs for the Brazilian market were manufactured at two factories of TP Vision in Brazil. One was in Junidai, a city in south-east Brazil which later on was closed.
The other one is situated on the banks of Negro River in Manaus. Since 2013, all Philips TVs have been manufactured here and supplied. Some TVs are also exported to neighboring countries.
Poland:
TPV has been in Poland since 2007 when the company decided to invest in LCD production 2007.
In 2008, a factory was established in western Poland, Gorzow Wielkopolski. Since then, the factory gained its full production within a year and has been one of the largest manufacturing plants for TPV.
With the acquisition of Philips by TP Vision, all Philips TVs to be supplied for the European market were assembled and manufactured here
The factory has a production capacity of more than 4 million televisions each year. Apart from TV manufacturing, this plant also produces other electrical components.
Russia:
TPV has been present in Russia since 2011. The Chinese electronics manufacturer opened their first factory in a small village Shushary in St. Petersburg.
This plant has been the hub for Philips TVs after the undertaking of Philips by TP Vision in 2012. This plant has been the home of millions of Philips TVs and other renowned brands.
In 2016, this facility assembled over 600,000 TVs!
Argentina:
Philips has been present in Argentina for years. The TVs manufactured here are delivered to most of the American countries.
TP Vision also had its manufacturing bases in Argentina which they, after the acquisition of Philips, used to manufacture Philips TV.
Today in North America, Funai, an OEM, manufactures and produces all the TV for Philips, and then these TVs are sold under the name of Philips.
Hungary:
TP Vision also had a television factory once in Hungary. But later, the company decided to close it and shift all its operations to its plant in Gorzow, Poland.
