The other manufacturing facility operated in the Shandong Province. The factory was mainly working to produce Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs). It could produce more than 200,000 units annually.

But this, too, didn’t last long. The facility was closed in 2015 amid increasing TV components prices and decreased profitability.

A sharp increase in competitors producing more efficient and pocket-friendly TVs also became the reason for its exit from China.

Czech Republic:

Panasonic had been in the Czech Republic for the last 25 years as a manufacturer. Panasonic opened its first manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic in 1996. It is located in the west of the country in Pilsen.

Pilsen factory has been one of the major production houses for Panasonic products. Initially, the plant produced CRTs, but later on, the company shifted from CRTs to produce plasma TVs due to declining demand for CRTs.

The Pilsen factory produced around 1.5 million TVs in 2007. It mainly catered to the TV needs for the European market.

The company also started to produce Blu-Ray recorders and players alongside LCDs in 2015. Another valuable addition to the factory was manufacturing heat pumps in 2018.

But unfortunately, the throat-cut competition in the electronics market and constantly decreasing demand for TVs, as sad by the officials, forced the company to announce the closure of its Pilsen factory by March 2022.

TVs will no longer be manufactured here, but the company will continue producing heat pumps, Blu-ray players, and recorders.

Russia:

Panasonic announced to start LCD production in Russia in 2006. Panasonic TV manufacturing in Russia has been done under an outsourcing scheme by the Taiwanese company TPV.

Production is done at the production facility of TPV located in the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia.

Located in the village of Shushary, this plant has long manufactured TV for Panasonic to be used by the entire Russian market and for some other countries as well.

Mexico:

Mexico is considered a central hub for electronics manufacturing and assembling worldwide. Having a manufacturing facility in Mexico is considered a must-have for any big manufacturing concern.

Panasonic works in the country with the name of Panasonic De Mexico SA DE CV. Panasonic had been in the country since 1979 and was initially used to produce essential home appliances.

Its factory is located in Ixtapaluca, a city in eastern Mexico. The factory in Ixtapaluca officially started LCD TV production in 2009 due to the rising demand for LCD in North America.

This Mexican factory has been the source of Panasonic appliances across Mexico, Canada, and North America.

This plant also produces other equipment such as audio devices and can produce more than 300,000 TVs a year.

Malaysia:

Panasonic has been in Malaysia since 1976, and since then, it has been efficiently carrying out its operations in the country. A joint venture between Toshiba and Panasonic used to make CRTs in the country,

India:

Turkey:

Turkish manufacturing giant Vestel manufactures and produces Panasonic TVs for the Turkish market.
