Where are Sanyo TVs Made

Sanyo is a Japanese Electronics Company that is making TVs for over 70 years now. They provide high-quality, well-designed televisions. In the past, they were very popular in America, but they fell off the radar a bit.

Many people are curious regarding the brand’s origin and where are Sanyo TVs Made? Well, let’s find out.

Where are Sanyo TVs Made?

Sanyo TVs are made in Japan. The firm has established manufacturing facilities in Japan to produce its TVs. In 1947, Sanyo was created by Toshio Lue and still is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.

History of Sanyo:

Toshio Lue launched the firm in 1947. The company began to manufacture radios and washing machines. In fact, Sanyo made the first Japanese Plastic Radio and Pulsator Washing Machine.

In 1970, Howard Ladd launched Sanyo Products in the US. Initially, they started selling Stereos and other Audio Equipment devices in the North American Market. Sanyo paired up Fisher Electronics, an audio equipment manufacturer, in 1977, thanks to Howard Ladd.

During the 1970s, the annual sales skyrocketed, and Sanyo began to take a significant market share in Audio Equipment.

In terms of TV manufacturing, the company also received huge success, and their TVs have entertained more than 40 million American consumers up until now.

However, after the 2004 Chuetsu Earthquake, things have not remained the same for the company.

Their semiconductor plant was devastated, and they lost billions of yen in terms of financial impact in the coming two years.

The company did show some signs of recovery in early 2006, however again they suffered a financial loss in November 2006.

This led to a partnership deal with Panasonic in 2008, which then turned Sanyo into a subsidiary firm of Panasonic in December 2009.

The company, which was once in the Fortune 500 Companies and Japan’s third-largest consumer electronics company, has now been reduced to making just TVs.

Who owns Sanyo?

After the deal in 2009, Panasonic acquired the Sanyo Brand completely in 2010. Currently, Sanyo is owned by Panasonic and Haier, its parent companies.

Are Sanyo TVs Good?

Sanyo TVs are popular among many people because of their low price, quality, and durability when it comes to TVs.

After Panasonic acquired Sanyo, the TV quality has improved, and now they are among the main competitors for low-grade TVs.

Many people have bought Sanyo TVs because of their quality and affordability. Their TVs are still in high demand in the United States and are particularly popular in Japan.

In addition, they have a fantastic customer care team to help customers. Thus, the brand pays great attention to great customer satisfaction.

Verdict:

Sanyo has been in the market for many years now. They have a wide range of products for consumers. Their batteries are renowned worldwide, and their TVs are popular in Japan.

Panasonic has now acquired Sanyo, but that hasn’t affected its quality. In fact, it’s getting better.

The brand continues to produce mid-range and low-grade TVs in their manufacturing facilities in Japan.

Their products provide stiff competition in this section. No matter the consumer’s budget, Sanyo has something for everyone.
