Are Ford Cars Made in the USA?
The United States is the hometown of Ford. Although the company has around 18 manufacturing plants in the United States, eight plants in the United States do all the assembling parts.
Flat Rock Assembly Plant opened in 1987 with the current production of Ford models such as Mustang, Shelby GT350, Shelby GT350R, and Lincoln Continental.
Ford opened the Kansas City Assembly Plant in 1951. It currently produces Ford E -Transit, F-150, and Ford Transit. More than 7200 individuals are employed here at this plant.
Kentucky Truck Plant opened in 1969 and currently manufactures Ford Super Duty trucks, Lincoln Navigator, and Ford Expedition.
Another plant in Kentucky is the Louisville Assembly Plant, with the primary production of Escape and Lincoln Corsair.
Michigan Assembly Plant started production in 1957. This plant primarily produces Ford Bronco and Ranger.
Are Ford Cars Made in China?
All of the manufacturing in China is done in collaboration with other automobile companies to manufacture Fords in China.
Changan Ford is the 50/50 joint venture between Ford Motor Company and Changan Automobile Company, set up in Chongqing, China, in late 2012.

Manufacturing Facilities in India:
Ford was first introduced and started its production in India in 1926. Initially, the company did not manage to work well and was liquidated in 1953.
It entered again in the Indian industry in 1995; this time, it was a success. Ford launched several car models in India, but Ford Fusion stole the show and was a clear winner.
Ford Motor Company had some ownership of Land Rover and Jaguar, which they sold to Tata Group in 2008.
Ford has two major units in India. The Chennai plant, located in Maraimalai Nagar, is Ford’s main production facility in the country.

In Russia, Ford has collaborated with Sollers, a Russian Automotive Company. The brand opened a plant in 2008 known as Sollers Ford Elabuga Plant.
This joint venture is responsible for all kinds of production and marketing of Ford products in Russia. Transit, Ford Kuga, and Ford EcoSport are major products of Ford in Russia.
On March 1st, 2022, Ford declared to end all its manufacturing units in Russia in reaction to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Manufacturing of Ford in Turkey:
Ford also has set up manufacturing in turkey. Ford operates 5 manufacturing plants in the country.
The company produces in a joint venture of 41 %Ford, 41% KOC holding, and 18 % public. In 2001, the company opened a manufacturing plant in Turkey known as Ford Otosan Plant.

Production Facilities in Thailand:
AutoAlliance Thailand, a joint venture between Ford 50%, Mazda 45%, and a Thai Affiliate of Mazda, currently manufactures all Ford products in Thailand.
It was established in 1995 with its key products, Ford Everest and Ford Ranger. In 2012, Ford also achieved another milestone with the opening of the Ford Thailand Manufacturing Plant.

Ford’s Production in Spain:
In 1976, Ford opened a plant Valencia Body and Assembly plant in Spain. The vehicles manufactured here are Mondeo, Tourneo Connect, Transit Connect, Kuga, and Ford Galaxy.
